vasiliev- Born as the 4th Prince of the Vasiliev Royal Family who currently rules the Vasiliev Empire in the world of Crownfrost.
- Legend has it that 300 years ago, the first Vasiliev encountered a beautiful maiden that enamored the human man. Unbeknownst to him, she was the Cosmos Queen, a terrifying being who traveled across multiverses in multiple forms.
- She was going to leave the world but Vasiliev, driven by the madness (from perceiving an otherworldly being) killed her; or so he thought. The Cosmos Queen kept resurrecting and pursuing him until he and his family managed to put her down again and scatter her body parts around the world.
- Thus, the land was cursed. No longer were their six months of winter peaceful, but were instead the deadliest period of all. Monsters of all shapes and sizes emerge from the white frost to terrorize humans and they evolved over time.
- From then on, the Winter Hunt became customary and a rite of passage for all.
- The Vasiliev maintained their power by developing weapons for the Winter Hunt and having a strong military. High-grade materials could be gained from hunting monsters which boosted the economy. They expanded over the next few centuries, convincing smaller countries and provinces that only they had the strength and knowledge to keep the beasts at bay every year.
- The Vasilievs pass down their crown to the royal-born who either have the highest prey count or they are automatically Emperor/Empress upon finding and destroying a body part of the Cosmos Queen. The latter is a very rare feat and the ruler who completes it rarely lasts long due to the insanity that plagues them.
